Fabiano de Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Valadares, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Fernando Valadares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Nilmar das Neves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reginaldo Donatello was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Nilmar das Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reginaldo Donatello having to interfere. If Fernando Valadares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samuca Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabiano de Carvalho having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Nilmar das Neves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Reginaldo Donatello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilmar das Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. 48 minutes into the match, Bruninho Hermes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reginaldo Donatello. Caputera's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bruninho Hermes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The wind increased when Fernando Valadares made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuca Fernandes in the 57th minute of play forced Vasco da Gama F.C.'s goalkeeper Fabiano de Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 58 minutes of play, Caputera's Samuca Fernandes made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fabiano de Carvalho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Caputera's Reginaldo Donatello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilmar das Neves in the 64th minute of play. Samuca Fernandes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hermínio Prado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reginaldo Donatello read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Hermínio Prado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Samuca Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Fabiano de Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabiano de Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Valadares in the 84th minute of the match. William Motta might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabiano de Carvalho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. William Motta ran back to his position shaking his head.
