Luizinho Antunes hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Ernani Coelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan da Costa in the 5th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jerônimo Meireles during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Salobro's Jerônimo Meireles got a free kick in the 7th minute. Zuba F. C.'s Hermínio Vander shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 8th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ernani Coelho but with some difficulty. Ronaldinho Cavalcante's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erik Falcão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Salobro's Jerônimo Meireles got a free kick in the 19th minute. Zuba F. C.'s Allan da Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan da Costa in the 29th minute of play forced Salobro's goalkeeper Ernani Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernani Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allan da Costa in the 33rd minute of the match. If Allan da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37thth minute of the game Allan da Costa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Salobro's Ernani Coelho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Celsinho Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celsinho Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Zuba F. C. getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Celsinho Costa hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Allan da Costa made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Zuba F. C. booed when Salobro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Paranaense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Salobro's Ernani Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeu Linhares in the 53rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Romeu Linhares put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ernani Coelho. Allan da Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Ernani Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romeu Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Salobro defense, Allan da Costa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ernani Coelho. The Salobro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ernani Coelho should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Zuba F. C.'s Eliseu Peres got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 71st minute, Ronaldinho Cavalcante ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erik Falcão was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. If Romeu Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 80 minutes, Romeu Linhares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zuba F. C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Romeu Linhares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Erik Alvarenga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the match, Salobro's goal looked a bit too open when Romeu Linhares came free, but Ernani Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Allan da Costa came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Zuba F. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Allan da Costa couldn't finish the play. Ernani Coelho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Allan da Costa's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Zuba F. C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
