In the 3rd minute, Cícero Veloso fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Felippe Macedo, passed just outside the right post. With his leg Felippe Macedo managed to avoid a goal in the 4thth minute, when Rueiros's Cícero Veloso fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Felippe Macedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cláudio Dionísio in the 5th minute of the match. Rueiros's Cícero Veloso got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cícero Veloso struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Felippe Macedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rueiros. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Cláudio Dionísio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rueiros's supporters rose to their feet, but Cláudio Dionísio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felippe Macedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cícero Veloso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Felippe Macedo made a huge save. Rueiros's Cícero Veloso got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Felippe Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cláudio Dionísio, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Cícero Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Rueiros getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. William Borges hit a great ball. Cláudio Dionísio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Felippe Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cícero Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felippe Macedo having to interfere. Felippe Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cláudio Dionísio, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. A hard shot 35 in the game by Cícero Veloso from a close distance when the talented Felippe Macedo managed to make a qualified save. Arary SS's players were relieved. Cícero Veloso succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 37th playminute. William Borges hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Cláudio Dionísio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Felippe Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Rueiros's Felippe Macedo threw himself towards the right post 44 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cláudio Dionísio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cícero Veloso was the one to do the kick off. Felippe Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cláudio Dionísio in the 51st minute of play. Gil Teixeira kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Cláudio Dionísio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Felippe Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute Cícero Veloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felippe Macedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cláudio Dionísio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rueiros's Ernani Alcântara in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Arary SS's goalie prevented a goal. Cláudio Dionísio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Felippe Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Arary SS's Gil Teixeira got a free kick in the 67th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Cláudio Dionísio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Felippe Macedo. Arary SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cláudio Dionísio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After having played for 75 minutes, Cícero Veloso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rueiros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cícero Veloso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79th minute Cícero Veloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felippe Macedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cláudio Dionísio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luiz Fábio Gaspar charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luiz Fábio Gaspar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 84 played minutes Arary SS got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fábio Gaspar. After a rather tough play, Arary SS's Gil Teixeira got a free kick in the 88th minute. Cláudio Dionísio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
