After a rather tough play, Boqueirao F.C's Natã Dantas got a free kick in the 7th minute. When Agostinho Baiano came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Sabara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agostinho Baiano couldn't finish the play. If Agostinho Baiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boqueirao F.C's Luizão Trigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agostinho Baiano in the 19th minute of play. Luizão Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agostinho Baiano in the 22nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agostinho Baiano in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luizão Trigo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Boqueirao F.C's zone, Alfredinho do Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luizão Trigo came out of the goal and Alfredinho do Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Natã Dantas might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristian Abraão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Natã Dantas ran back to his position shaking his head. Cristian Abraão was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Natã Dantas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 34 minute of play. In the 38th minute, Natã Dantas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Boqueirao F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 43 minutes into the game, Agostinho Baiano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Luizão Trigo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Natã Dantas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristian Abraão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Agostinho Baiano was the one to do the kick off. After 56 minutes of play, Boqueirao F.C's Cláudio Paraibano made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristian Abraão was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 60th minute, Ramiro Cabral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 68th minute, Alfredinho do Vale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Sabara getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Kaká da Mata hit a great ball. Falcão Rossi hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. The supporters of Boqueirao F.C booed when Sabara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaká da Mata didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Boqueirao F.C fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sabara had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
