In the 17th minute, Afonsinho Albuquerque made a precise shot to the right of Luiz Gustavo Campidelis. Dragões de Tchó Tchó's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After having played for 20 minutes, Afonsinho Albuquerque managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estudiantes da Serra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonsinho Albuquerque was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Estudiantes da Serra booed when Dragões de Tchó Tchó was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adalberto Palmeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Gustavo Campidelis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Afonsinho Albuquerque went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Caetano Loureiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Angelo Pimenta having to make a save. Caetano Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Angelo Pimenta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Rômulo Mangueira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dragões de Tchó Tchó fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Estudiantes da Serra's zone, Caetano Loureiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelo Pimenta came out of the goal and Caetano Loureiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Loureiro in the 46th minute of play forced Estudiantes da Serra's goalkeeper Angelo Pimenta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Dragões de Tchó Tchó players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Estudiantes da Serra were winning 1-2.

Caetano Loureiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Flavinho Salles struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Luiz Gustavo Campidelis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Estudiantes da Serra. In the 73rd minute, one of Dragões de Tchó Tchó:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Dragões de Tchó Tchó. Dragões de Tchó Tchó's Luiz Gustavo Campidelis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Dragões de Tchó Tchó from getting a goal against them. After 80 played minutes Estudiantes da Serra got a freekick which was hit by Amauri Quirino. Caetano Loureiro struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Angelo Pimenta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dragões de Tchó Tchó. When Rômulo Mangueira fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dragões de Tchó Tchó's protests and gave Rômulo Mangueira a yellow card for diving instead. Rômulo Mangueira kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Luiz Gustavo Campidelis made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Flavinho Salles sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Estudiantes da Serra defense, Caetano Loureiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angelo Pimenta. The Estudiantes da Serra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angelo Pimenta should have stopped the shot. Caetano Loureiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Pimenta having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Estudiantes da Serra had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
