In the 15th minute Cláudio Paraibano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilian de Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Natã Dantas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Wilian de Souza made a huge save. The audience was convinced that João Pedro Koehler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luizão Trigo was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Natã Dantas's late challenge caught a Canoas Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 32ndth minute of the game Cláudio Paraibano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Canoas Futebol Clube's Wilian de Souza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Boqueirao F.C's Natã Dantas got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Canoas Futebol Clube defense, Natã Dantas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilian de Souza. The Canoas Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilian de Souza should have stopped the shot. After 47 played minutes Canoas Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Raí Mello. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Cláudio Paraibano made the kick off in the second half. Richard Bastos tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Wilian de Souza. An unnecessary self made goal, 2-1 in the 53rd minute. If Natã Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Vítor Chaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Luizão Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Valério de Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canoas Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Valério de Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luizão Trigo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wilian de Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Batista in the 68th minute of the match. When Laerte Aguiar fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canoas Futebol Clube's protests and gave Laerte Aguiar a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Boqueirao F.C booed when Canoas Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laerte Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 71 minutes, Natã Dantas made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. Canoas Futebol Clube's Wilian de Souza tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Natã Dantas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilian de Souza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Wilian de Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natã Dantas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the match, Cláudio Paraibano notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Canoas Futebol Clube's Wilian de Souza. Wilian de Souza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Wilian de Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Batista in the 98th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Canoas Futebol Clube players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Boqueirao F.C.
