Doriva Pereira came free with the goalkeeper in the 8th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Giovani Perez could save by the left post. 10 minutes into the match, Rickers's goal looked a bit too open when Fernandinho Maciel came free, but Giovani Perez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giovani Perez came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Cejam FC's Doriva Pereira. But to his dismay, Doriva Pereira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 21 minutes into the game, Patrick Schmidt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rickers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cejam FC the free kick. In the 21st match minute, Rickers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Schmidt to maneuver through the defense. If Doriva Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benedito Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the match, Cejam FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Pedro Massa came free, but Júlio de Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doriva Pereira couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fellipe Sousa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Júlio de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fellipe Sousa in the 53rd minute of play. Dário Marinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Rickers's Giovani Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doriva Pereira in the 64th minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Cejam FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gilson Furtado came free, but Júlio de Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dário Marinho during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Cejam FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Dário Marinho hit a great ball. Júlio Custódio, 76 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Dário Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. Doriva Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovani Perez having to interfere.
