Christiano Sergipano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernandinho Maciel in the 3rd minute of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Fernandinho Maciel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Christiano Sergipano, 1-0. Manuel Neiva hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Manfredo Toscano was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 8th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 10 minutes into the game, when Cacá da Cunha put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 9th minute of the game. One of Cejam FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bocaiuva:s goal. 12 minutes into the match, Manfredo Toscano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Júlio de Azevedo. Cejam FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manfredo Toscano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 17 played minutes Cejam FC got a freekick which was hit by João Paulo Senna. Júlio de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Baptista in the 20th minute of play. Doriva Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Christiano Sergipano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Doriva Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christiano Sergipano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Doriva Pereira went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 35th minute, Chicão Quirino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Júlio de Azevedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. João Paulo Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Doriva Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, João Paulo Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cejam FC's supporters rose to their feet, but João Paulo Senna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christiano Sergipano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The wind increased when Doriva Pereira made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Fernandinho Maciel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cejam FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernandinho Maciel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christiano Sergipano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Doriva Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christiano Sergipano having to interfere. 64 minutes into the game, João Paulo Senna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Christiano Sergipano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as Chicão Quirino kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Júlio de Azevedo. That made the score 4-3 in the 75 minute of play. Doriva Pereira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christiano Sergipano having to make a save. Chicão Quirino took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Júlio de Azevedo. Júlio de Azevedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-4. Tiago Gabriel Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, Doriva Pereira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There was no doubt that Cejam FC were the better team. Cejam FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
