CHELSEA's Aírton Ferraz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save CHELSEA from getting a goal against them. Jandiritiua's Norberto Negri got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfredo dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aírton Ferraz having to interfere. After 10 played minutes Jandiritiua got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Negri. Guga Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Zico Beckenbauer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Carlos Souto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zico Beckenbauer having to interfere. Alfredo dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Murilo Toscano's late challenge caught a Jandiritiua's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Murilo Toscano helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Jandiritiua booed when CHELSEA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murilo Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aírton Ferraz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo dos Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 54th minute, Albertinho da Fonseca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zico Beckenbauer was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Zico Beckenbauer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guga Veiga in the 58th minute. Norberto Negri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfredo dos Santos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aírton Ferraz having to make a save. After a rather tough play, CHELSEA's Murilo Toscano got a free kick in the 70th minute. A collision led to CHELSEA getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Guga Veiga hit a great ball. After 82 played minutes Jandiritiua got a freekick which was hit by Ruy Pimenta. 84 minutes into the match, CHELSEA's Franklin Cardozo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Alexandre Rezende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CHELSEA's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
