Zimbros AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Jandiritiua's Norberto Negri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arí Moreira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Zimbros AD's zone, Norberto Negri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arí Moreira came out of the goal and Norberto Negri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 23 minutes, Maicon Gerber managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zimbros AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maicon Gerber was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lucas de Andrade struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Zico Beckenbauer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zimbros AD. Zimbros AD's Arí Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo dos Santos in the 36th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Alfredo dos Santos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arí Moreira, 1-0. Zimbros AD's Arí Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo dos Santos in the 46th minute of play. If Alfredo dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Jandiritiua's Alfredo dos Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arí Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo dos Santos in the 73rd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Zimbros AD's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto Negri came free, but Arí Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maicon Gerber could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Zico Beckenbauer made a huge save. 80 minutes into the game, Alexandre Rezende was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jandiritiua's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zimbros AD the free kick. After 80 played minutes Jandiritiua got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Rezende. After 85 played minutes Zimbros AD got a freekick which was hit by Bebeto Sampaio. Maicon Gerber struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. In the 97th minute Alfredo dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arí Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jandiritiua's Norberto Negri got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bebeto Sampaio hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match. Arí Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto Negri in the 100th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Jandiritiua fans cheered their team off the field, for while Zimbros AD had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
