Spectators: 6654 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cauã Carneiro started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cauã Carneiro in the 5th minute of play forced Band R.C's goalkeeper Luís Paulo Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. César das Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Fred Toscano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th minute João Francisco Brasil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Paulo Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 11 minutes of play, Band R.C's Benjamim Xavier made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fred Toscano was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 15th minute César das Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Golden Lion's zone, César das Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fred Toscano came out of the goal and César das Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 20 minutes, Cauã Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Golden Lion's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cauã Carneiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute, Golden Lion's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Benjamim Xavier fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 32nd minute, Paulinho Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fred Toscano stood somewhat misplaced when César das Neves came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 34 minute. After having played for 40 minutes, César das Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Band R.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but César das Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. César das Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Benjamim Xavier blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fred Toscano having to make a save. Fred Toscano was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Dudu Abreu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dudu Abreu really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when César das Neves made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Golden Lion's goal looked a bit too open when César das Neves came free, but Fred Toscano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Benjamim Xavier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamim Xavier in the 68th minute of play forced Golden Lion's goalkeeper Fred Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fred Toscano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from César das Neves in the 75th minute of play. The Band R.C fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Band R.C's César das Neves looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Cauã Carneiro took a quick shot and it went in 5-1 without a chance for Luís Paulo Branco to make any attempt to save it. Ediberto de Queiroz hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Luís Paulo Branco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cauã Carneiro's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Band R.C's Luís Paulo Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cauã Carneiro in the 92nd minute of play. A collision led to Golden Lion getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Vitinho de Almeida hit a great ball. Fred Toscano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamim Xavier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute Benjamim Xavier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 98thth minute of the game Benjamim Xavier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Golden Lion's Fred Toscano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. There was no doubt that Band R.C were the better team. Band R.C's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
