Spectators: 7008 (Terracing: 5383, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cauã Carneiro kicked off to start the match. Fred Toscano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of César Carvalho's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. When César Carvalho came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Bentopolis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that César Carvalho couldn't finish the play. Emerson Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cauã Carneiro in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th minute, César Carvalho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bentopolis fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 14th match minute, Golden Lion was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitinho de Almeida to maneuver through the defense. João Francisco Brasil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Emerson Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Bentopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Cauã Carneiro came free, but Emerson Veiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 19 played minutes Golden Lion got a freekick which was hit by Paulinho Pinho. Válbson de Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Fred Toscano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Golden Lion's goal looked a bit too open when César Carvalho came free, but Fred Toscano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Golden Lion getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Paulinho Pinho hit a great ball. Fred Toscano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Válbson de Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 31 minutes into the game, Alfredão Mello was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Golden Lion's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bentopolis the free kick. In the 32nd minute there was a penalty for Bentopolis. José Paulo Velasco stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fred Toscano. 0-2. Fred Toscano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Válbson de Salles in the 35th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by João Francisco Brasil got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After having played for 41 minutes, Cauã Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Golden Lion's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cauã Carneiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Francisco Brasil got free with Emerson Veiga in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

Golden Lion's Fred Toscano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Golden Lion from getting a goal against them. Emerson Veiga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cauã Carneiro in the 54th minute of the match. Válbson de Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Toscano having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, César Carvalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Paulo Velasco kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. If César Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute, César Carvalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Válbson de Salles kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 79thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Golden Lion's keeper Fred Toscano was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Fred Toscano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. When Vitinho de Almeida fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Golden Lion's protests and gave Vitinho de Almeida a yellow card for diving instead. Fred Toscano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. César Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Toscano having to interfere. The Bentopolis players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
