Fred Toscano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Vaz in the 16th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Jacurutu's Enio da Fonseca got a free kick in the 17th minute. Samuel Dantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvério Valadares in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo Vaz in the 27th minute of play forced Golden Lion's goalkeeper Fred Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cauã Carneiro struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Samuel Dantas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Golden Lion. Jânio Fantini kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Cauã Carneiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Francisco Brasil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ademir da Costa during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ademir da Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erasmo Vaz in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fred Toscano saved Golden Lion from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Cauã Carneiro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 56th minute. Golden Lion's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Golden Lion's Fred Toscano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandro Brasil in the 57th minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, one of Golden Lion:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Jacurutu a penalty, 64 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Filipe de Lima, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Golden Lion's Fred Toscano. 2-0. After 68 played minutes Golden Lion got a freekick which was hit by Cauã Carneiro. If Sandro Brasil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacurutu's Erasmo Vaz got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Erasmo Vaz came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Jacurutu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erasmo Vaz couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo Vaz in the 80th minute of play forced Golden Lion's goalkeeper Fred Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, João Francisco Brasil took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Samuel Dantas to make any attempt to save it. João Francisco Brasils short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Samuel Dantas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Fred Toscano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Vaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cauã Carneiro in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Samuel Dantas saved Jacurutu from getting behind. Golden Lion's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
