Spectators: 7280 (Terracing: 5462, Seating: 1674, VIP seats: 144) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Erasmo Vaz got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Bentopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Vaz came free, but Emerson Veiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Erasmo Vaz put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Emerson Veiga. Emerson Veiga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandro Brasil, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Erasmo Vaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nilton de Moraes's late challenge caught a Jacurutu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nilton de Moraes helped the player get up and apologised. After 15 played minutes Bentopolis got a freekick which was hit by Nilton de Moraes. When João Paulo Faria fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jacurutu's protests and gave João Paulo Faria a yellow card for diving instead. After 20 played minutes Jacurutu got a freekick which was hit by João Paulo Faria. Bentopolis's César Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Válbson de Salles came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Bentopolis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Válbson de Salles couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by César Carvalho in the 29th minute of play forced Jacurutu's goalkeeper Samuel Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Válbson de Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Dantas having to interfere. João Paulo Faria hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Válbson de Salles's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Samuel Dantas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jacurutu's Samuel Dantas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Jacurutu from getting a goal against them. Nilton de Moraes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Samuel Dantas made a huge save. César Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If César Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Válbson de Salles's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Samuel Dantas firmly grabbed it by the left post. César Carvalho might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Samuel Dantas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. César Carvalho ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half Jacurutu were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Válbson de Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Dantas having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Jânio Fantini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Paulo Velasco was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 61st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Jacurutu's Samuel Dantas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Válbson de Salles in the 64th minute of play. If Válbson de Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling César Carvalho in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samuel Dantas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Bentopolis's César Carvalho in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jacurutu's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Jacurutu getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. João Paulo Faria hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by César Carvalho in the 77th minute of play forced Jacurutu's goalkeeper Samuel Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. During the 83rd minute of the match Nilton de Moraes completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Nilton de Moraes a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 84 played minutes Bentopolis got a freekick which was hit by Nilton de Moraes. Sandro Brasil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Emerson Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacurutu's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
