After 12 minutes, João Pedro Terra made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. SOCIEDADE ESPORTIVA MATÃO's Amílton do Nascimento tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, João Pedro Terra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Demolidores's supporters rose to their feet, but João Pedro Terra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amílton do Nascimento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 37th minute, Bebeto Gaúcho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amílton do Nascimento was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 42ndth minute of the game Pedro Luís Palmeira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SOCIEDADE ESPORTIVA MATÃO's Amílton do Nascimento was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
