Spectators: 6425 (Terracing: 5425, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Jânio Figueiredo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The supporters of Insanos FC booed when Massape EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Galvão didn't get a good kick on the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Edvaldo Torres dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Natã Mineiro, 1-0. Valdomiro Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Natã Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Júlio Galvão's late challenge caught a Insanos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Júlio Galvão helped the player get up and apologised. Elder Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Natã Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Insanos FC's Dorian Lima slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Natã Mineiro. That made the score 2-0 after 16 minutes of play. In the 19th minute, Ediberto Correia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Massape EC's Ernani de Moraes got a free kick in the 25th minute. After 29 minutes, Edvaldo Torres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Insanos FC and the Massape EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Edvaldo Torres hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Massape EC's Júlio Galvão got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 35th minute, Insanos FC's Conrado Campidelis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. In the 40th minute, Jânio Figueiredo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Massape EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Massape EC's Natã Mineiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Washington Rossi in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Tomás Tasso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Massape EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elder Torres was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Massape EC's zone, Edvaldo Torres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natã Mineiro came out of the goal and Edvaldo Torres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 58 minutes of play, Insanos FC's Edvaldo Torres made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Natã Mineiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Insanos FC's Ediberto Correia suffered a sore thigh after 60 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Júlio Galvão was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 60 minutes had been played. Júlio Galvão kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. If Dorian Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Natã Mineiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edvaldo Torres's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Insanos FC's Edvaldo Torres got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Edvaldo Torres came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Insanos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edvaldo Torres couldn't finish the play. If Elder Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Vito Sabóia came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Insanos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vito Sabóia couldn't finish the play. Gino Pernambucano made in the 80th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ernani de Moraes. Elder Torres might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Natã Mineiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elder Torres ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Massape EC's zone, Dorian Lima stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natã Mineiro came out of the goal and Dorian Lima tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 84 played minutes Massape EC got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Tasso. 86 minutes into the match, Massape EC's goal looked a bit too open when Edvaldo Torres came free, but Natã Mineiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elder Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edvaldo Torres in the 92nd minute of play forced Massape EC's goalkeeper Natã Mineiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
