In the 18th minute Paulo Renato Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Renatinho Recife was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Melhor Que o Kleber FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave STARK EC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Melhor Que o Kleber FC's Renatinho Recife got a free kick in the 19th minute. When Paulo Renato Oliveira, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 20 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Alessandro Barral was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Túlio Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 25 played minutes STARK EC got a freekick which was hit by Mateus Bezerra. Fiori Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 30 minutes, Abelardo Meira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the STARK EC and the Melhor Que o Kleber FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Abelardo Meira kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. When Renatinho Recife was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 36 minutes had been played. 37 minutes into the game, Paulo Renato Oliveira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. STARK EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Melhor Que o Kleber FC the free kick. In the 38th minute, Paulo Renato Oliveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alessandro Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fiori Borges in the 39th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Túlio Cavalcante in the 41st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After having played for 44 minutes, Fiori Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. STARK EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fiori Borges was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Túlio Cavalcante to make the kick off. Alessandro Barral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fiori Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to STARK EC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Germano Arce hit a great ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dé Abreu couldn't finish the play. Túlio Cavalcante came free in the 88th minute and tried to tip the ball over Gonçalo Amaral, but to the joy of STARK EC's supporters the ball went over.
