In the 37th minute, one of Zion F.C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Zion F.C.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jeferson Leite was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Zion F.C booed when Butio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anísio Pena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Butio's Hélder da Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeferson Leite in the 57th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 60th minute by Doriva Amorim got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jeferson Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Hélder da Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Anísio Pena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anísio Pena struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Orlando Melo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Butio. In the 84th minute, Doriva Amorim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Orlando Melo came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Butio's Doriva Amorim. But to his dismay, Doriva Amorim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Doriva Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Melo having to interfere. A hard shot 96 in the game by Doriva Amorim from a close distance when the talented Orlando Melo managed to make a qualified save. Zion F.C's players were relieved.
