Edgar Rosado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Barral having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Rosado in the 20th minute of play forced Melhor Que o Kleber FC's goalkeeper Alessandro Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Renatinho Recife hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After 22 played minutes Melhor Que o Kleber FC got a freekick which was hit by Renatinho Recife. After a rather tough play, Melhor Que o Kleber FC's Túlio Cavalcante got a free kick in the 27th minute. Juan Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Barral having to interfere. Alessandro Barral was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edgar Rosado showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 32 minute of play. Túlio Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Wiliam Bittencourt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 45 minutes, Dé Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Melhor Que o Kleber FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dé Abreu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Alessandro Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Rosado in the 58th minute of play. Edgar Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Renatinho Recife struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Wiliam Bittencourt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Melhor Que o Kleber FC.
