After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Edgar Rosado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Limeira's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgar Rosado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlinhos Veiga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 4 played minutes Ibicuitinga SC got a freekick which was hit by Vágner Paraíba. Edgar Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonardo Hoffmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luisão Branco charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luisão Branco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Juan Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Carlinhos Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Edgar Rosado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Edgar Rosado came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Limeira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgar Rosado couldn't finish the play. Rodrigo Diniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Limeira's Ulisses Messias got a free kick in the 26th minute. Carlinhos Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Rosado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Leonardo Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Limeira's Aníbal Trigo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 34th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ibicuitinga SC. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ibicuitinga SC's goalkeeper Carlinhos Veiga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rodrigo Diniz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wiliam Bittencourt having to make a save. Leonardo Hoffmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Wiliam Bittencourt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ibicuitinga SC's Leonardo Hoffmann got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonardo Hoffmann stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Rodrigo Diniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wiliam Bittencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Sebastião do Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Ibicuitinga SC's Angelo Pires tried to score from far away in the 64th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Rosado in the 66th minute of play forced Ibicuitinga SC's goalkeeper Carlinhos Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leonardo Hoffmann in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wiliam Bittencourt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Limeira's zone, Rodrigo Diniz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wiliam Bittencourt came out of the goal and Rodrigo Diniz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 71 minutes into the match, Limeira's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Hoffmann came free, but Wiliam Bittencourt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlinhos Veiga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juan Machado in the 76th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgar Rosado in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlinhos Veiga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edgar Rosado was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 84th minute. Limeira's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juan Machado got free with Carlinhos Veiga in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
