Zion F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeferson Leite was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 49thth minute of the game Jeferson Leite who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Melhor Que o Kleber FC's Alessandro Barral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Alessandro Barral made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Jeferson Leite sent off a good shot on target. Jeferson Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Alessandro Barral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Melhor Que o Kleber FC's Alessandro Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aloísio Cordeiro in the 68th minute of play. Aloísio Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aloísio Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. An unexpected shot in the 78th minute by Jeferson Leite got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Alessandro Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aloísio Cordeiro in the 81st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aloísio Cordeiro in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alessandro Barral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 84th minute Aloísio Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Renatinho Recife came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Melhor Que o Kleber FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renatinho Recife couldn't finish the play.
