Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Germano Arce charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Germano Arce the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Adalberto Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 13 minutes, Paulo Renato Oliveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. STARK EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Renato Oliveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Renato Oliveira in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nestor de Lara saved Mangalatiba SC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fiori Borges in the 23rd minute of play forced Mangalatiba SC's goalkeeper Nestor de Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute Geovanni Berger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonçalo Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Adalberto Coelho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mangalatiba SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Nestor de Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fiori Borges, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After 37 played minutes, Mangalatiba SC's Marcinho dos Santos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gonçalo Amaral came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mangalatiba SC reached it. Adalberto Coelho made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 48thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Gonçalo Amaral would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. After 50 minutes STARK EC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Acácio Santana who took care of the corner kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geovanni Berger stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Mangalatiba SC's Adalberto Coelho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gonçalo Amaral narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Geovanni Berger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Amaral having to interfere. After a rather tough play, STARK EC's Cláudio Vides got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 60th minute, Adalberto Coelho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 64th match minute, Mangalatiba SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinei Netto to maneuver through the defense. If Paulo Renato Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 67 played minutes STARK EC got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Meira. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Geovanni Berger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mangalatiba SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Geovanni Berger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gonçalo Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind STARK EC's goalkeeper Gonçalo Amaral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 81 minutes into the game, Mangalatiba SC's Geovanni Berger nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gonçalo Amaral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The audience was convinced that Adalberto Coelho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gonçalo Amaral was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Adalberto Coelho put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Gonçalo Amaral. Mangalatiba SC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of STARK EC for a fine match.
