Leonardo Hoffmann started the match with the kick off. When Eliseu Velasco came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Ferroviária fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseu Velasco couldn't finish the play. Wesley de Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlinhos Veiga having to interfere. If Leonardo Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonardo Hoffmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute, Leonardo Hoffmann ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alberto Massa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Carlinhos Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wesley de Lima in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Leonardo Hoffmann got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Alberto Massa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodrigo Diniz in the 26th minute. Rodrigo Diniz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Alberto Massa made a huge save. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ibicuitinga SC! The referee gave Ferroviária a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hermínio Valle, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ibicuitinga SC's Carlinhos Veiga. 1-1. After having played for 37 minutes, Breno Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ferroviária's supporters crossed their fingers, but Breno Valle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th minute Breno Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlinhos Veiga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Vágner Paraíba fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ibicuitinga SC's protests and gave Vágner Paraíba a yellow card for diving instead. Vágner Paraíba kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Ibicuitinga SC's goal looked a bit too open when Breno Valle came free, but Carlinhos Veiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 53rd minute, Vágner Paraíba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Ferroviária booed when Ibicuitinga SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Pires didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute of the match Hermínio Valle sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlinhos Veiga skillfully saved the ball. Wesley de Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlinhos Veiga having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breno Valle in the 63rd minute of play forced Ibicuitinga SC's goalkeeper Carlinhos Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodrigo Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Alberto Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Luisão Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wesley de Lima blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlinhos Veiga having to make a save. 76 minutes into the match, Ibicuitinga SC's goal looked a bit too open when Breno Valle came free, but Carlinhos Veiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Wesley de Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute, Wesley de Lima made a precise shot to the right of Carlinhos Veiga. Ibicuitinga SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Breno Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlinhos Veiga having to interfere. 89 minutes into the game, Breno Valle lined in a short shot 1-3 behind a frustrated Carlinhos Veiga.
