After a defensive mix-up in Sabadini's zone, Bebeto Domingues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Alberto Linhares came out of the goal and Bebeto Domingues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Elias Ferraz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reynaldo Leão was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Carlos Alberto Linhares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Pedro Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reynaldo Leão didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lauro Tinoco went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 45 minutes into the match, SantasticoJovemFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lauro Tinoco came free, but Reynaldo Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sabadini had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
