Mauro Marinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Chaves in the 13th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Warriors FC's zone, João Adolfo Simão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro Marinho came out of the goal and João Adolfo Simão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Warriors FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Márcio Alvarenga hit a great ball. Horácio Koehler scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hílton Leite, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 23 minutes into the match, Warriors FC's goalkeeper Mauro Marinho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Acácio Mello. With a little luck, Warriors FC's Mauro Marinho got control of the ball when João Adolfo Simão tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hílton Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Guilherme Gaúcho in the 28th minute of the match. Márcio Alvarenga charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Márcio Alvarenga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 52nd match minute, Wagner AF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emerson Camargo to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Luís Guilherme Gaúcho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hílton Leite. That made the score 1-2 in the 54 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Acácio Mello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wagner AF's supporters rose to their feet, but Acácio Mello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauro Marinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hílton Leite was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luís Guilherme Gaúcho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 63 minute of play. Mauro Marinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Chaves, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
