Fabiano Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Adolfo Simão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ismael Chaves took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabiano Silveira. Fabiano Silveira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 26th minute, Ismael Chaves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wagner AF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 37th minute, Acácio Mello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Acácio Mello's late challenge caught a Triangulo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Acácio Mello helped the player get up and apologised. After 42 played minutes Wagner AF got a freekick which was hit by Acácio Mello. João Adolfo Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Acácio Mello stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Acácio Mello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Wagner AF's João Adolfo Simão got a free kick in the 60th minute. When Aloísio Bezerra came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Wagner AF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aloísio Bezerra couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute Régis Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hílton Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabiano Silveira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Adolfo Simão went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Ismael Chaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Fabiano Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ismael Chaves came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Wagner AF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ismael Chaves couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle sounded Wagner AF left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Triangulo.
