After a rather tough play, Torneiros EC's Giovanni Quirino got a free kick in the 13th minute. Tribobo SS's Romeu Paes got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabinho Sousa during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Tribobo SS booed when Torneiros EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabinho Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute, Sílvio Luiz Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Giovanni Quirino during the 40th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Almir Cardoso was the one to do the kick off. Doni Vinhas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís de Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Arantes in the 75th minute of play forced Torneiros EC's goalkeeper Doni Vinhas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís de Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doni Vinhas having to interfere.
