With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arí Donato in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Doni Vinhas saved Torneiros EC from getting behind. With an all-out effort, Torneiros EC's Ruy Prado threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jefferson Dantas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jefferson Dantas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Almir Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy Prado having to interfere. Valério Pimenta kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Jefferson Dantas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ruy Prado was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Torneiros EC had won after a very even match.
