Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Afonsinho Soeiro started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Caldo de Cana F.C.'s Sidnei Ramos got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Duarte Saraiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lenílson Araújo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Catarinense in the 9th minute of play forced Pinto's goalkeeper Duarte Saraiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amauri Linhares took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Duarte Saraiva. Duarte Saraiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Duarte Saraiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Catarinense in the 14th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lenílson Araújo in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Duarte Saraiva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Caldo de Cana F.C.'s Ruy Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdemar Vargas in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute Afonsinho Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruy Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 26 minutes, Valdemar Vargas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pinto and the Caldo de Cana F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Caldo de Cana F.C. booed when Pinto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdemar Vargas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 27 played minutes, Caldo de Cana F.C.'s Arlindo Paulista shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Duarte Saraiva came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Caldo de Cana F.C. reached it. In the 33rd minute, Arlindo Paulista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Caldo de Cana F.C.'s zone, Afonsinho Soeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruy Santana came out of the goal and Afonsinho Soeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Caldo de Cana F.C.'s Lenílson Araújo in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Caldo de Cana F.C.'s Ruy Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdemar Vargas in the 46th minute of play. Ruy Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonsinho Soeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lenílson Araújo to make the kick off. With his leg Duarte Saraiva managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Caldo de Cana F.C.'s Amauri Linhares fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lenílson Araújo had several of the Pinto's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 58 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Duarte Saraiva as he didn't even see the shot coming. After a rather tough play, Caldo de Cana F.C.'s Lenílson Araújo got a free kick in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glauco Valladares in the 74th minute of play forced Caldo de Cana F.C.'s goalkeeper Ruy Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruy Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roger Paraense in the 78th minute of the match. Roger Paraense kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Glauco Valladares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sidnei Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Eusébio Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 93 minutes into the match, Caldo de Cana F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Roger Paraense came free, but Ruy Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lenílson Araújo struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Duarte Saraiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caldo de Cana F.C.. Caldo de Cana F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
