After 16 played minutes Camelo Puro Malte F.C got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Luiz Rosa. After a rather tough play, Talvez Venceremos FC's Donato Vides got a free kick in the 16th minute. Sílvio Luiz Rosa had several of the Talvez Venceremos FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 18 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Ademir Recife as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 21st minute, José Vítor Britto made a precise shot to the right of César Barbosa. Camelo Puro Malte F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Talvez Venceremos FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Valdo Tande scored to the left of an out of position Ademir Recife, making the score, 2-1. If Donato Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Eduardo Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Ademir Recife tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dito Bertassi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Ademir Recife made a huge save. Camelo Puro Malte F.C's César Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco de Queiroz in the 35th minute of play. When César Bastos fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Camelo Puro Malte F.C's protests and gave César Bastos a yellow card for diving instead. Donato Vides placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! José Vítor Britto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but César Barbosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. If Francisco de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valdo Tande to strike the kick off in the second half. Ademir Recife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Eduardo Duarte in the 52nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Donato Vides took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for César Barbosa to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Camelo Puro Malte F.C booed when Talvez Venceremos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel Arósio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michel Arósio got his second yellow card in the match during the 62nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 84th match minute, Talvez Venceremos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesinha de Amaral to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Talvez Venceremos FC's Donato Vides got a free kick in the 87th minute. Ademir Recife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dito Bertassi in the 90th minute of play. In the 93rd minute, José Vítor Britto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, José Vítor Britto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talvez Venceremos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but José Vítor Britto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. César Barbosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Francisco de Queiroz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but César Barbosa was relentless in the 97th minute of the game.
