Toninho Madureira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arlindo Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After 20 minutes, Jaime Neto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pesca Esportiva Clube and the Geremeira players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 20 played minutes Pesca Esportiva Clube got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Neto. The long shot by Joélson Pires in the 22nd minute really tested Flavinho de Barros's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Toninho Madureira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Váldson Paulista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Geremeira getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Luís Gustavo Cearense hit a great ball. Felippe Sanches recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Flavinho de Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Mota in the 30th minute of play. When Váldson Paulista came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Pesca Esportiva Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Váldson Paulista couldn't finish the play. Toninho Madureira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Váldson Paulista, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Alfredo Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pesca Esportiva Clube's Flavinho de Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Goiano in the 44th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arlindo Pirani in the 46th minute of play forced Geremeira's goalkeeper Toninho Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Geremeira's zone, Váldson Paulista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toninho Madureira came out of the goal and Váldson Paulista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Geremeira players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pesca Esportiva Clube were winning 0-2.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Váldson Paulista in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Toninho Madureira saved Geremeira from getting behind. Flavinho de Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Goiano in the 55th minute of play. 56 minutes into the game, one of Pesca Esportiva Clube:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 59th minute, Hortêncio Passos made a precise shot to the right of Flavinho de Barros. Pesca Esportiva Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Pesca Esportiva Clube's Flavinho de Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Goiano in the 63rd minute of play. Arlindo Pirani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toninho Madureira having to interfere. Durval Machado took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flavinho de Barros. Flavinho de Barros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. If Felippe Sanches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arlindo Pirani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arlindo Pirani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toninho Madureira having to interfere.
