In the 10th minute, Raimundo Albuquerque sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Geremeira's Toninho Madureira didn't even have to move. Filipe Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Toninho Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Filipe Dantas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Toninho Madureira was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Filipe Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Filipe Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Toninho Madureira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dorian Leite's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. In the 35thth minute of the game Filipe Dantas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Geremeira's Toninho Madureira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Filipe Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Santa AD's Abel Perez got control of the ball when Alfredo Mota tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alfredo Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Perez having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredo Mota got free with Abel Perez in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dorian Leite to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Leonardo Goiano made a precise shot to the right of Abel Perez. Santa AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 55th minute Alfredo Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Leonardo Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abel Perez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Mota in the 61st minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Geremeira's goal looked a bit too open when Dorian Leite came free, but Toninho Madureira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santa AD's Filipe Dantas got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Filipe Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dorian Leite in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Toninho Madureira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 74 minutes into the match, Geremeira's goal looked a bit too open when Dorian Leite came free, but Toninho Madureira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Mota scored 2-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abel Perez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Alfredo Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 85th minute, Leonardo Goiano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abel Perez was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Abel Perez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Mota, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Geremeira fans cheered their team off the field, for while Santa AD had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
