Spectators: 6895 (Terracing: 5395, Seating: 1400, VIP seats: 100) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Décio Maciel got the match started through his kick off. With a little luck, MDP Team's Hílton Marinho got control of the ball when Adalberto Munhoz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Décio Maciel might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Falcão Fontes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Décio Maciel ran back to his position shaking his head. Breno Zanette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falcão Fontes having to interfere. After a rather tough play, MDP Team's Guga Xavier got a free kick in the 16th minute. Samuca Prestes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Braslandia's zone, Breno Zanette stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Falcão Fontes came out of the goal and Breno Zanette tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Décio Maciel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aníbal Loyola could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Hílton Marinho made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adalberto Munhoz got free with Hílton Marinho in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adalberto Munhoz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hílton Marinho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Samuca Prestes was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Léo Arruda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MDP Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Braslandia the free kick. Décio Maciel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Falcão Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as MDP Team's Décio Maciel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Falcão Fontes. That made the score 1-1 after 57 minutes of play. If Breno Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Falcão Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Décio Maciel in the 62nd minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, MDP Team's goal looked a bit too open when Adalberto Munhoz came free, but Hílton Marinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hílton Marinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuca Prestes in the 64th minute of play. The supporters of Braslandia booed when MDP Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian de Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute Samuca Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hílton Marinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hílton Marinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuca Prestes in the 70th minute of the match. Samuca Prestes might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hílton Marinho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Samuca Prestes ran back to his position shaking his head. MDP Team's Hílton Marinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuca Prestes in the 79th minute of play. MDP Team's Breno Zanette got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Décio Maciel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falcão Fontes having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Adalberto Munhoz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hílton Marinho. MDP Team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adalberto Munhoz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Décio Maciel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falcão Fontes having to interfere. 90 minutes into the game, Adalberto Munhoz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Hílton Marinho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Samuca Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. MDP Team's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
