To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hélder Leite in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wiliam Bittencourt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Hélder Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hélder Leite to make the kick off. In the 63rd minute, Natã Moreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wiliam Bittencourt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcus Costa went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Congonhas SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Xoio FC the free kick. Rony Moreno kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Gil Damião showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yuri Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute. The Xoio FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Congonhas SC's performance. The match ended with a win for Congonhas SC.
