When BZ FC's Sílvio Luiz dos Santos in 6 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Narciso Sergipano guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Montevidio's Narciso Sergipano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Luiz dos Santos in the 8th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo Mesquita during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of BZ FC booed when Montevidio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Mesquita didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute, Germano Arruda sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Montevidio's Narciso Sergipano didn't even have to move. After 11 played minutes Montevidio got a freekick which was hit by Luizinho Furtado. Leonel Cerezo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Pedro Vides having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Marcelo Nascimento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Montevidio's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Luiz dos Santos came free, but Narciso Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joélson de Carvalho charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joélson de Carvalho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Montevidio's Felippe Pontes couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 21st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for BZ FC. If Marcelo Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 29 minutes, Sílvio Luiz dos Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BZ FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sílvio Luiz dos Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcelo Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felippe Pontes hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 39th match minute, BZ FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Germano Matos to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute of the match Montevidio got a corner. BZ FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Felippe Pontes ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Narciso Bueno heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Matías Tinoco struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. José Pedro Vides didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montevidio. Leonel Cerezo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sílvio Luiz dos Santos to strike the kick off in the second half. If Sílvio Luiz dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the game, Gilberto de Amaral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BZ FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montevidio the free kick. Gilberto de Amaral hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. The supporters of BZ FC booed when Montevidio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narciso Bueno didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 85 played minutes BZ FC got a freekick which was hit by Amílton Lopez. 91 minutes into the match, Sílvio Luiz dos Santos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Narciso Sergipano. Montevidio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sílvio Luiz dos Santos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. BZ FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
