In the 17th minute, Norberto Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Víktor Sanches during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind REAL SEASEN's goalkeeper Wiliam Rossi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wiliam Rossi was a little too slow when Osmar Messias got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 1-0. Genílson Pimenta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Osmar Messias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Wiliam Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. REAL SEASEN's Wiliam Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osmar Messias in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes in the game, Osmar Messias fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Wiliam Rossi having to interfere. The REAL SEASEN fans' excitement grew in the 47th match minute when REAL SEASEN's Gugu Gerber looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Osmar Messias stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A hard shot by Toninho Sergipano from long distance, 53 minutes into the match, got Severino Aparecido's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Cauã Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Severino Aparecido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Gugu Gerber's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Severino Aparecido was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Genílson Pimenta managed to get in a good position for a shot. União Esperança - standby's supporters rose to their feet, but Genílson Pimenta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wiliam Rossi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76th minute Jeremias Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wiliam Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Gugu Gerber got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 82nd minute, Osmar Messias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net.
