Eliézer Catarinense's late challenge caught a Maripa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliézer Catarinense helped the player get up and apologised. The audience was convinced that Otávio Couto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro da Cunha was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. After 10 minutes, Ezequiel Vianna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chá Das 5 and the Maripa players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Chá Das 5's Ezequiel Vianna got a free kick in the 10th minute. If Otávio Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Durvalino Massa during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Durvalino Massa hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Otávio Couto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 25 minutes in the game Gilvan Ramos did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Luiz Gustavo Vinhas. In the 31st minute, Otávio Couto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Chá Das 5's goal looked a bit too open when Otávio Couto came free, but Pedro da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maripa's Otávio Couto got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Otávio Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Pedro da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Diego Sampaio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otávio Couto in the 48th minute of play.

The wind increased when Cléberson Fonseca made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Chá Das 5's zone, Diego Sampaio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro da Cunha came out of the goal and Diego Sampaio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Otávio Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Chá Das 5's Durvalino Massa got a free kick in the 74th minute. After some careless play in the Chá Das 5 defense, Otávio Couto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro da Cunha. The Chá Das 5 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro da Cunha should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Otávio Couto got free with Pedro da Cunha in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Chá Das 5 getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Emanuel Rezende hit a great ball. When Jaime das Neves came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Maripa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime das Neves couldn't finish the play. Otávio Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro da Cunha having to interfere. Otávio Couto kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 89thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Chá Das 5's keeper Pedro da Cunha was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Otávio Couto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Pedro da Cunha made a huge save. In the 93rd minute, Felipe Vaz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match was over Maripa could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Chá Das 5 throughout the match.
