After a defensive mix-up in MIX FC's zone, Gerson Abreu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mathias Sá came out of the goal and Gerson Abreu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vito Mesquita in the 14th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Chá Das 5's Cléberson Fonseca got a free kick in the 16th minute. MIX FC's Olívio Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Olívio Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Roberto Valadares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Pedro da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cléberson Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathias Sá having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Gerson Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the game, Fausto Vergílio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MIX FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chá Das 5 the free kick. The supporters of Chá Das 5 booed when MIX FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Vergílio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valdo Lago's late challenge caught a Chá Das 5's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valdo Lago helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in MIX FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! 38 minutes into the match, Gerson Abreu notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of MIX FC's Mathias Sá. Mathias Sá was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, MIX FC's Mathias Sá got control of the ball when Cléberson Fonseca tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Reginaldo Castro tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Mathias Sá. An unnecessary self made goal, 2-0 in the 52nd minute. In the 64th match minute, Chá Das 5 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezequiel Vianna to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of MIX FC booed when Chá Das 5 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kiko Esteves didn't get a good kick on the ball. MIX FC's Roberto Valadares got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
