Spectators: 7231 (Terracing: 5425, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fausto da Cunha kicked off to start the match. Birutas FC's Ricardinho Bezerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeu Coutinho in the 5th minute of play. Luizão Sarmento hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Abelardo Aparecido didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-0 via right post in the game's 7th minute. Birutas FC's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! If Fausto da Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Birutas FC's Fausto da Cunha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Juvenal Cardozo. That made the score 2-0 after 25 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mateus Alves during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Juvenal Cardozo made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Abelardo Aparecido sent off a good shot on target. Juvenal Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto da Cunha in the 37th minute of play. When Luís Fernando Velasco fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Videu's protests and gave Luís Fernando Velasco a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th match minute, Videu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fernando Velasco to maneuver through the defense. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Romeu Coutinho was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Birutas FC's Fausto da Cunha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juvenal Cardozo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. If Abelardo Aparecido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute Sandro Severo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juvenal Cardozo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Videu's zone, Abelardo Aparecido stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juvenal Cardozo came out of the goal and Abelardo Aparecido tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Abelardo Aparecido's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juvenal Cardozo was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto da Cunha in the 66th minute of play forced Videu's goalkeeper Juvenal Cardozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomás Barreto kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Abelardo Aparecido had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juvenal Cardozo. Videu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abelardo Aparecido was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. In the 74th minute, Abelardo Aparecido got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fausto da Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Juvenal Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Fernando Velasco kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. If Abelardo Aparecido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Videu's Luís Fernando Velasco got his second yellow card of the match in the 85th minute. The referee ordered Luís Fernando Velasco off the ground. In the 85th match minute, Videu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fernando Velasco to maneuver through the defense. Fausto da Cunha scored 6-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juvenal Cardozo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Abelardo Aparecido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Birutas FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
