Aníbal Brito started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Time do Emanuel FC's Chico Cordeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dito Esteves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 10 minutes into the game, Marquinhos de Brito cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. André Luís Hoffmann was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Time do Emanuel FC's zone, Marquinhos de Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Luís Hoffmann came out of the goal and Marquinhos de Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristiano Andrade hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 20 minutes into the game, Asa Sul FC's Aníbal Brito nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. André Luís Hoffmann made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Marquinhos de Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Marquinhos de Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Asa Sul FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marquinhos de Brito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Luís Hoffmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 37 minutes into the game, Asa Sul FC's Aníbal Brito nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. André Luís Hoffmann made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 43rd minute Marquinhos de Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Luís Hoffmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Marquinhos de Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Time do Emanuel FC's André Luís Hoffmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marquinhos de Brito in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Time do Emanuel FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gilvan Figueiredo in the 53rd minute. After taking down the ball on Time do Emanuel FC's corner Gilvan Figueiredo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dito Esteves quite easily take care of the ball. After some careless play in the Time do Emanuel FC defense, Marquinhos de Brito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of André Luís Hoffmann. The Time do Emanuel FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that André Luís Hoffmann should have stopped the shot. Roger Nóbrega hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Dito Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélder Tande in the 69th minute of the match. Time do Emanuel FC's Chico Cordeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dé de Barros during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dé de Barros hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Aníbal Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aníbal Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 83 minutes into the match, Hélder Tande had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dito Esteves. Asa Sul FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hélder Tande was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Asa Sul FC played a much better game than Time do Emanuel FC and deserved their victory. The Time do Emanuel FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
