The tension between the Luiz Bernardo FC and the Asa Sul FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th minute, Marquinhos de Brito made a precise shot to the right of Tostão Salles. Luiz Bernardo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 7th minute of the match Edvaldo Araújo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tostão Salles showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Luiz Bernardo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marquinhos de Brito came free, but Tostão Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henrique Veiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd match minute, Asa Sul FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Douglas de Amaral to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Bernardo FC's Valdomiro Lopes got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Henrique Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Luiz Bernardo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Henrique Veiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dito Esteves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 31 played minutes Luiz Bernardo FC got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Queirós. Marquinhos de Brito struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Tostão Salles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Asa Sul FC. Tostão Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aníbal Brito in the 33rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Luiz Bernardo FC's Rogério Prado got a free kick in the 35th minute. Luiz Gustavo Abreu, 35 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Marquinhos de Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Asa Sul FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marquinhos de Brito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tostão Salles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The wind increased when Aníbal Brito made the kick off in the second half. If Marquinhos de Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Asa Sul FC's Aníbal Brito in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Luiz Bernardo FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 62nd minute, Cristiano Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Henrique Veiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 70 minutes, Rogério Prado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Luiz Bernardo FC and the Asa Sul FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rogério Prado kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Aníbal Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marquinhos de Brito was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 84th minute. Asa Sul FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a rather tough play, Luiz Bernardo FC's Rogério Prado got a free kick in the 85th minute. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Luiz Bernardo FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luiz Gustavo Abreu was slow to take the kick. During this time Asa Sul FC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Luiz Gustavo Abreu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tostão Salles quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 90th minute, Sidney Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luiz Gustavo Abreu was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 91st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Luiz Bernardo FC were furious when Gabriel Loureiro was red carded, 93 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 93 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Luiz Bernardo FC! Tostão Salles had in the 95thth minute some difficulties stopping Luiz Gustavo Abreu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 97th minute of the match, Aníbal Brito tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tostão Salles saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The Asa Sul FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Asa Sul FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
