The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Foz Cataratas got a freekick which was hit by Serginho Martins. After 6 minutes of play, Asa Sul FC's Marquinhos de Brito made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cui Hong Song was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Wilton Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Foz Cataratas's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilton Viana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dito Esteves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Foz Cataratas's goalkeeper Cui Hong Song, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Guto Pelé struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Dito Esteves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Foz Cataratas. Dito Esteves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilton Viana in the 33rd minute. Wilton Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dito Esteves having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilton Viana to make the kick off. Dennis Guerra hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. When Wilton Viana came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Foz Cataratas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilton Viana couldn't finish the play. 86 minutes into the game, Foz Cataratas's Wilton Viana nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dito Esteves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Foz Cataratas walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
