Walmyr Cavalcante came out of the goal and Aníbal Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Marquinhos de Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Asa Sul FC's Marquinhos de Brito got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marquinhos de Brito made a kick off. Walmyr Cavalcante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marquinhos de Brito in the 54th minute of the match. Léo dos Santos's late challenge caught a Asa Sul FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Léo dos Santos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th minute, Léo dos Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luiz Gustavo Abreu, 57 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Walmyr Cavalcante had in the 91stth minute some difficulties stopping Luiz Gustavo Abreu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 92nd minute of the match Asa Sul FC got a corner. Miglioli FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luiz Gustavo Abreu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
