Spectators: 7212 (Terracing: 5410, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Mário Lopes took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Lauro Ramos came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Ibicaba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lauro Ramos couldn't finish the play. When Ibicaba's Fausto Mota in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vastar FC's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Eduardo Bueno got free with Zé Neiva in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mário Lopes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Carlos Eduardo Bueno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Zé Neiva managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Vastar FC's Carlos Eduardo Bueno fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Lopes in the 17th minute of play forced Ibicaba's goalkeeper Zé Neiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Vastar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeu Coelho came free, but Claudinei Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lauro Ramos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Lauro Ramos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claudinei Cunha was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Claudinei Cunha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fausto Mota's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Armando Saraiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claudinei Cunha came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Ibicaba's Fausto Mota. But to his dismay, Fausto Mota quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Lauro Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Claudinei Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fausto Mota to strike the kick off in the second half. If Lauro Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vastar FC's Carlos Eduardo Bueno got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Eduardo Bueno in the 61st minute of play forced Ibicaba's goalkeeper Zé Neiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute of the match Alfredão Nunes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claudinei Cunha skillfully saved the ball. Lauro Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. Ibicaba's Zé Neiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mário Lopes in the 75th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Vastar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Mota came free, but Claudinei Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th match minute, Vastar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diamantino das Neves to maneuver through the defense. When Fausto Mota came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Ibicaba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Mota couldn't finish the play. Fausto Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Cunha having to interfere. When the match was over Ibicaba could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Vastar FC throughout the match.
