After having played for 10 minutes, Severino Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rosilha AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severino Freire was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sonserinos's Roberto Leal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Sonserinos from getting a goal against them. In the 14th minute Adalberto Quintal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Leal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edmundo Mesquita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murillo Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Murillo Couto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edmundo Mesquita was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. In the 22nd match minute, Rosilha AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Falcão Corrêa to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Sonserinos getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Cléberson Soares hit a great ball. In the 45th minute, Rosilha AD's Luiz Fabiano Meira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Roberto Leal. Roberto Leal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Murillo Couto to make the kick off. Alberto Donato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 59 played minutes Rosilha AD got a freekick which was hit by Horácio Leal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adalberto Quintal in the 67th minute of play forced Sonserinos's goalkeeper Roberto Leal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cléberson Soares in the 68th minute of play forced Rosilha AD's goalkeeper Edmundo Mesquita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute, Falcão Corrêa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alberto Donato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roberto Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Meira in the 83rd minute of play. Edmundo Mesquita made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Murillo Couto sent off a good shot on target. Murillo Couto might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edmundo Mesquita. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Murillo Couto ran back to his position shaking his head. 97 minutes into the match, Sonserinos's Murillo Couto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edmundo Mesquita narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle, Rosilha AD could leave the field as winners, despite Sonserinos having more of the ball for most of the match.
