Jorginho Nóbrega recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Rosilha AD getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Horácio Leal hit a great ball. Edmundo Mesquita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorginho Nóbrega, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. If Luiz Fabiano Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Luís Fabiano Damião fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rosilha AD's protests and gave Luís Fabiano Damião a yellow card for diving instead. Luís Fabiano Damião kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jorginho Nóbrega stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
