In the 16th minute Michel Netto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinícius Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edson Porto kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After 22 played minutes Varejeiras do Asfalto FC got a freekick which was hit by Benedito Moreira. Vinícius Paiva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Magno Neto went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Zebrandia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nando Faria was slow to take the kick. During this time Varejeiras do Asfalto FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Nando Faria almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Zebrandia's Vinícius Paiva did a great save. 36 minutes into the match, Varejeiras do Asfalto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Alcântara came free, but Nilmar Mangueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Franklin de Queirós fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Varejeiras do Asfalto FC's protests and gave Franklin de Queirós a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Varejeiras do Asfalto FC's Franklin de Queirós got a free kick in the 37th minute. Edson Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Nilmar Mangueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Christiano Ceresso made the kick off in the second half. Vinícius Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franklin de Queirós in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franklin de Queirós in the 57th minute of play forced Zebrandia's goalkeeper Vinícius Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 63 minutes, Edson Porto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zebrandia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edson Porto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 64 minutes, Edson Porto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zebrandia and the Varejeiras do Asfalto FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 70 minutes into the match, Zebrandia's goal looked a bit too open when Magno Neto came free, but Vinícius Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zebrandia's Edson Porto got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nilmar Mangueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edson Porto in the 78th minute of the match. After 81 minutes of play, Varejeiras do Asfalto FC's Magno Neto made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vinícius Paiva was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Edson Porto in the 89th minute of play forced Varejeiras do Asfalto FC's goalkeeper Nilmar Mangueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle went the supporters of Varejeiras do Asfalto FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Zebrandia side.
