Nova Hera Fenix's Walmyr Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Ribeiro in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murillo Dantas in the 15th minute of play forced ABC F.C's goalkeeper Tales Ferreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tales Ferreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wágner Urbano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wágner Urbano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Nova Hera Fenix's zone, Abelardo Ribeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walmyr Marquez came out of the goal and Abelardo Ribeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 29 minutes into the match, Nova Hera Fenix's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Ribeiro came free, but Walmyr Marquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benjamin Passos got free with Walmyr Marquez in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as ABC F.C's Abelardo Ribeiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Walmyr Marquez. That made the score 1-0 after 33 minutes of play. After 37 played minutes Nova Hera Fenix got a freekick which was hit by Rogério Pombal. In the 38th minute of the match Sandro Varela shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Walmyr Marquez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 41st minute, Murillo Dantas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 44th minute of the match Fred Donatello sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tales Ferreira skillfully saved the ball. Murillo Dantas scored 1-1 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tales Ferreira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

If Wágner Urbano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tales Ferreira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Murillo Dantas in the 55th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 65 minutes, Tales Ferreira successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Wágner Urbano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Tales Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When José Maria Tasso fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ABC F.C's protests and gave José Maria Tasso a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, ABC F.C's José Maria Tasso got a free kick in the 67th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 72nd minute of the game. One of ABC F.C:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nova Hera Fenix:s goal. In the 73rd minute there was a penalty for Nova Hera Fenix. Fred Donatello stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tales Ferreira. 1-2. If Wágner Urbano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute, Rogério Pombal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tales Ferreira was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Abelardo Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Walmyr Marquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Walmyr Marquez came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by ABC F.C's Abelardo Ribeiro. But to his dismay, Abelardo Ribeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. In the 97th minute, Benjamin Passos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Walmyr Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abelardo Ribeiro in the 99th minute of the match. The Nova Hera Fenix players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
