Spectators: 7392 (Terracing: 5546, Seating: 1699, VIP seats: 147) Lúcio Passos made the kick off and thus started the match. 6 minutes into the game, Dedê Mello cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Wilton Britto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Róbson Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Wilton Britto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute EC Salvador were awarded a corner. Dedê Mello went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Dedê Mello got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Wilton Britto quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Augusto Sabóia during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Espera SS booed when EC Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Augusto Sabóia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caetano Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos da Costa in the 17th minute of play. In the 21st minute Válter de Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilton Britto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Tiago Gabriel Campidelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 25 minutes, Dedê Mello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EC Salvador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dedê Mello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as EC Salvador's Alan Oliveira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Wilton Britto. That made the score 2-0 after 29 minutes of play. Dedê Mello could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Wilton Britto made a huge save. After 34 minutes, Pedrinho Mello mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EC Salvador and the Espera SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. A hard shot 40 in the game by Alan Oliveira from a close distance when the talented Wilton Britto managed to make a qualified save. Espera SS's players were relieved. 42 minutes into the match, Válter de Godoi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilton Britto. Espera SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Válter de Godoi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Alan Oliveira might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilton Britto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alan Oliveira ran back to his position shaking his head. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Alan Oliveira made the kick off in the second half. Wilton Britto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dedê Mello in the 52nd minute of the match. 52 minutes into the match, Dedê Mello notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Espera SS's Wilton Britto. Wilton Britto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Wilton Britto came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by EC Salvador's Alan Oliveira. But to his dismay, Alan Oliveira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Espera SS's Wilton Britto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Válter de Godoi in the 63rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Espera SS defense, Válter de Godoi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilton Britto. The Espera SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilton Britto should have stopped the shot. Marvin Tobar hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After 73 minutes of play, EC Salvador's Alan Oliveira made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilton Britto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alan Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 84 minutes, Válter de Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EC Salvador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Válter de Godoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. EC Salvador's Alan Oliveira got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Caetano Porto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos da Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 92nd minute, Orlando de Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee ended the match the EC Salvador players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
