The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Walmyr Marquez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Germano Sabóia came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the ASTRT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Germano Sabóia couldn't finish the play. Cido Teles charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cido Teles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 7 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for ASTRT! After a defensive mix-up in Nova Hera Fenix's zone, Germano Sabóia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walmyr Marquez came out of the goal and Germano Sabóia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Gino de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cássio Paraibano's late challenge caught a ASTRT's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cássio Paraibano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th minute, Cássio Paraibano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Walmyr Marquez was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ademar Soares. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Wágner Urbano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nova Hera Fenix's supporters rose to their feet, but Wágner Urbano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Xavier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Germano Sabóias short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Walmyr Marquez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 37 minutes, Germano Sabóia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nova Hera Fenix's Walmyr Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Germano Sabóia in the 86th minute of play. If Germano Sabóia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gino de Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmyr Marquez having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Germano Sabóia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ASTRT fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2.
